Over at bemorewithless.com, Courtney Carver has the seven beginner steps to minimalism (I’m starting to feel like I’m in a program :). Step one is “Write it down”. I want to make mine public, so that perhaps others will, or others may be inspired to.

So my definition of minimalism is to get rid of the non-essential to focus on the essential:

Essential

  • Health / Diet
  • Family
  • Friends
  • Walk
  • Read
  • Write
  • Photograph
  • Work

Non-essential

  • TV
  • Facebook / Social Media
  • Xbox
  • Cleaning
  • Maintaining
